Our Rules and Regulations
PREAMBLE
In every community, there is usually a code of conduct that governs the behaviour of its members. The aim of the Rules and Regulations stated hereunder, are to ensure the realisation of the motto of the school which is Discipline, Hard Work and Success. A good student is not only one who works well in class; he/she is also the one who behaves well, respecting the rules and regulations of her school
Article 1: Nature of the School
The school was opened in 1988 as (Government Bilingual Secondary School) Limbe and was later raised to a High School in 1992.
G.B.H.S. Limbe is a co-educational secondary school comprising two sections – Anglophone section and a Francophone section, running almost parallel with each other under the same administration. Each section has a first and second cycle. It is a public and day school, and it is known in French as “Lycée Bilingue de Limbe.”
Article 2: Conditions of Admission
Admission into Form One is through a Government Common Entrance Examination. Admission into Lower Sixth is based on the G.C.E. results. Admission into other classes and transfer cases are done in accordance with circular No 485/C/II/MINEDUC/DESG/DETP/DEXC/SAP paragraph 2 of 3rd June 1983 based on the places available and an internal competitive examination
